Description
Ingredients: Bolivian Pink Salt
Origin: Bolivia
Kosher Certified
Edible Food Grade: YES
Overview: This salt originates from Salar de Uyuni (or Salar de Tunupa) which is the worlds largest salt flat at 10,582 square kilometers (4,086 square miles). It's located in the Daniel Campos Province in Potosi, in Southwest Bolivia. Our salt is pink because it has higher amounts of over 70 trace minerals and nutrients than the salt that you’re probably using right now, primarily in calcium, potassium, magnesium and iron.
Traditional Uses: The Salar was fromed as a result of transformations between several prehistorhic lakes. It's covered by a few meters of salt crust, which has an extraordinary flatness, wth the average altitude variations within one meter over the entire area of the Salar.
Cosmetic Uses: This salt makes a great exfoliant, while adding nutrient rich properties to your topical formulas. You can mallet the salt, to work it to a finer grain. We use this beautiful, light pink salt, as decor in our Bath Bomb formulas and in our Bath Tea blend, as it's very visably appealing and affordable.
